Oumaima
Oumaima, aged 20, was born and raised in Amsterdam and she has been part of Voices of Tolerance since 2025. She believes it is important to make her voice heard and to show that you can be yourself, even if you don’t always know exactly where you belong.
Within the Voices community, Oumaima wants to help foster greater connection through storytelling. She believes in the power of recognition and hopes to inspire and bring others together through her experiences. She has already had some special experiences with Voices. For instance, she recorded a podcast with the Mayor of Amsterdam for the first episode of a series of conversations with inspiring changemakers. She also spoke on behalf of Voices with the future Queen of the Netherlands and contributed to a homemade zine that lies buried beneath Dam Square.
